Fragrance Customization
Historically, the creation of custom fragrances was a privilege reserved for a select few. The Flavors & Fragrances Industry has long been characterized by its exclusivity, limiting consumer access to fine fragrance formulation and customization. However, as times have changed, so have we.
Mass market perfumes, often relying on celebrity endorsements and big brand names, have dominated the industry, leading to a homogenized olfactory landscape. The resurgence of niche perfumery reflects a renewed appreciation for perfumery as an art form. Today’s consumers crave authenticity and transparency. They want real stories involving real people, knowing where ingredients are sourced, and if they’re sourced ethically. This desire for eduction and connection drives their choices, valuing brands that offer insight into their processes and origins.
At Project Fragrance, we’ve embraced this shift. We understand the importance of transparency in this industry. 3 Generations in the F&F Industry
Our story begins with our grandfather, Victor Boucard, in Haiti. As a pioneer in essential oil distillation, he began with lemongrass, neroli, petitgrain, basil, and lime, introducing both amyris and Haitian vetiver distillation to the island. Today, Haitian vetiver is one of the most valued varieties of vetiver essential oil, cherished by fine fragrance brands worldwide.
Following political unrest, Victor brought his expertise to Texas. Alongside our father and two uncles, Gueric, Victor, and Henri, they began distillation of Texas cedarwood oil. Under the leadership of our older brother, Rick Boucard, Texarome has become one of the largest producers of cedarwood oil in the world.
Bridging Tradition and Innovation
With a B.S. in International Business from Trinity University in San Antonio and specialized training in fine fragrance formulation at ISIPCA in France, I have integrated my business background with a passion for perfumery. This led me to leverage our role as major suppliers for the global fragrance market. As a co-owner of Texarome, a third-generation family business celebrated for its premium, 100% pure & natural essential oils - I build on the esteemed reputation established by my grandfather, father, and brother. This foundation allows me to forge strong partnerships and collaborations in fine fragrance.
